***HYBRID POSITION IN NORCO, CA***Job SummaryThe
Database Engineer leads enterprise-level development and optimization of secure database systems. This position architects complex SQL solutions, enforces development standards, and ensures performance and security compliance for mission-critical systems.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Responsibilities- Lead schema and stored procedure architecture across systems
- Optimize high-volume queries and support large data migrations
- Implement data governance and secure development practices
- Guide development teams on best practices and reviews
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT for database security
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6+ years of database development experience
- Advanced knowledge of SQL performance tuning and secure design
- Ability to travel to Norco, CA location 2-3 days per week
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered
Preferred- Master's degree or advanced database certifications
- Experience with cloud-native database environments (e.g., RDS, Azure SQL)
