Data Base Administrator/SharePoint Specialist
Chippewa Government Solutions LLC, a Sault Tribe Inc. ("STI Federal") company, is searching for a dynamic and skilled Data Base Administrator with SharePoint experience to be a key part of our expanding team!
What You'll Do...
As a Data Base Administrator, you will work closely with influenza researchers, epidemiologists' leadership staff and National Center for Informatics SharePoint team to manage daily portal updates, develop new features, ensure compliance with usability and IT governance standards and support databases and data-driven applications along with enhance the division's SharePoint portal. You will ensure that content is accurate, workflows function properly, and new features align with evolving program needs.
Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes
- Updatedivisionlevelportal content daily, including news articles, events, updates, features, messages, videos, publications, RSS feeds, and links.
- Collaborate with program stakeholders to define scope, requirements, content elements, and workflow automation needs for the SharePoint portal.
- Generate design and functional requirements aligned with CDC usability guidelines and National Center Informatics policies.
- Identifyand specify modification tasks for new features or enhancements based on division needs.
- Specify modifications to correct defects or deficiencies in existing portal functionality.
- Install,maintain, and sustain enterprise databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, FileMaker).
- Handle database design, performance tuning, backups/restores, replication, and configuration planning.
- Lead migrations to current versions of applications or databases that integrate with SharePoint tools or workflows.
- Perform requirements analysis, query optimization, and table normalization.
- Deliver user training for new features and portal phases, following COR approval of the training plan.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for new features and ensure documentation remains current within the SharePoint environment.
- Assist the COR or designee with IT project summary reports, including business needs, modernization and enhancement plans, O&M plans, and cost summaries.
- Ensure all documentation is appropriately organized in controlled areas within SharePoint in alignment with CDC IT governance.
- Conduct data analysis to support reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
- Troubleshoot, correct, or redesign internal databases to meet evolving OD or branch needs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience:Minimum of three (3) years of SharePoint experience.
- Clearance:Ability to obtain/maintaina Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience:Experience supporting federal programs, especially CDC or NCIRD.
• Experience preparing training materials, workflow documentation, or system SOPs.
• Background in content management, usability, or portal development. - Clearance:CDC Public Trust clearance
