THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 3 Database Administrator with a Secret clearance to support our Configuration Management efforts within the OPIR Ground Infrastructure Team from our Boulder, CO location.
As a Database Engineer, you will:
• Integrate into a small, high-performing Product Team led by a Scrum Master and Product Owner
• Support daily Scrum meetings, team demos, and monthly staff calls
• Work under very general supervision in support of larger team goals
• Support ad hoc tasking and stretch assignments as outlined by Program Leaders
• Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement
• Be able to interpret complex system requirements
• The successful candidate will excel working as part of a technical team of System Administrators, DevSecOps engineers, software, cyber and integration engineers who successfully support program requirements and commitments.
• You will be comfortable in an ever-changing dynamic environment and work well in an agile team
• Support and participate in working groups and technical exchange meetings
• You will be organized and flexible with strong interpersonal skills, initiative, capacity to manage multiple tasks while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Flexibility and determination to learn new skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Atlassian software products
• Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Final Secret clearance required prior to start and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
Desired skills
• Advanced Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms
o High-availability
o Clustering and automated failover
o Architecture design and implementation
o Implementing security technical implementation guidelines (STIGs)
o Backup methodologies
• Great interpersonal and effective communications skills working in a team environment
• Experience working with multiple development teams and integrating product environments
• Experience with RedHat OpenShift
• Experience with KVM and VMWare virtualization platforms
• Experience with Agile processes
• Experience with satellite ground systems
• OPIR program experience/exposure
• Experience with configuration management and change management process implementation
• Automated scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & unit test experience
• Experience coding in Python or other scripting languages
• Experience with lean and/or other Continuous Process Improvement frameworks
• Experience with security data classification guidelines
• Experience with creating CONOPS and procedural documentation

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $98,300 - $170,315. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
