The Opportunity:

CACI is hiring a Database Administrator for an upcoming program that will support the Veteran's Administration. ThisDBA shall support database design, migration, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and implementation of database changes supporting system releases and system integrations.

This position will be contingent upon contract award.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with technical team to support database availability, data integrity, and database changes required for implementation and operations

  • Participate in database modernization focused on automation, innovation, efficiency, and AI-driven solutions that support entire acquisition lifecycle


Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Active Public Trust security clearance, or US Citizen able to obtain Public Trust at tiem of hire

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field of study

  • 5+ years of experience administering enterprise relational database platforms supporting mission-critical business applications.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining enterprise database solutions in cloud-hosted or enterprise environments

  • Prior experience supporting database security, access controls, backup, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery

  • Proficiency in supporting database migration, data validation, and enterprise system integrations for large-scale IT modernization efforts

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) and database performance tuning

  • Demonstrated experience supporting data integrity, availability, and recovery for enterprise applications


Desired:

  • Active Public Trust clearance

  • Prior experience supporting the Veteran's Administration

  • Prior experience in database/system modernization and/or automation

  • Proficiency with Appian enterprise software platform, or similar
