Numerator is looking for a Data Triage Manager to lead our Data Triage team within the Product Business Intelligence organization. This is a dual-focused role in which you will act as both the people leader for the team and the product owner for the data triage function. You will work with an established and rapidly evolving platform that handles millions of requests and massive volumes of events and other data, and you will be accountable for how quickly and reliably data quality issues are surfaced, prioritized, and resolved.
This position blends people leadership, product management, and hands-on technical judgment. As a people manager, you will coach, develop, and grow a team of analysts responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and driving resolution of data quality issues. As a product owner, you will define the roadmap and priorities for data triage-turning recurring problems into scalable, systemic solutions and partnering closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams. You'll set the standards, processes, and metrics that keep our data trustworthy, and you'll translate what the team learns into insights that inform decisions across the business.
What You'll Do: People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data triage analysts-setting goals, managing performance, and supporting career growth in a fast-paced environment
- Establish and scale the processes, workflows, and best practices the team uses to diagnose and resolve data quality issues
- Own team capacity and workload, ensuring the most impactful issues get the right attention at the right time
Product Ownership
- Own the roadmap and priorities for the data triage function, balancing urgent production needs against longer-term scalability and prevention
- Translate recurring data quality problems into clear requirements, and partner with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to drive durable solutions
- Define and track the key metrics for data quality and triage performance-issue volume, time to resolution, recurrence-and use them to guide decisions and communicate impact
- Explore opportunities to adopt and integrate AI into the team's tooling and workflows-using it to accelerate triage, automate repetitive work, and improve data quality at scale
Technical & Analytical
- Work alongside the team to identify and diagnose data quality issues, communicating findings and potential production impacts clearly
- Identify opportunities for analytical and process improvement, and contribute to the design and implementation of solutions and automation
Cross-functional & Communication
- Provide regular reporting and insights that support operational planning and strategy execution
- Communicate results and business impacts to both technical and business audiences
- Support senior leadership by preparing analyses that inform business growth initiatives
- Help create and maintain dashboards and scorecards, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery
Skills & Requirements
- BS in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, or other behavioral and/or equivalent quantitative science
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data operations, or a closely related field
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading data or analytics teams
- Experience in a product management or product-owner capacity, including owning a roadmap and prioritizing across competing needs
- Working proficiency in SQL-enough hands-on technical ability to investigate data and partner credibly with engineering, without needing to operate as a full-time engineer
- Familiarity with building or maintaining internal dashboards and reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams, deliver results autonomously, tackle complex problems with sound judgment, and lead both people and projects in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable insights
- Effective communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for data and curiosity in uncovering meaningful questions and opportunities through analysis
- Curiosity about AI and a demonstrated interest in adopting and integrating new AI tools and techniques to improve how work gets done
