Position Summary:

Strongpoint Partners is seeking a Data Transformation Manager to join our Data & Analytics team. This role plays a critical part in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets while leading the transformation and migration of data across core business systems. The Data Transformation Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and seamless data conversions while maintaining enterprise-wide data quality, hygiene, and coverage.

In addition to hands-on data transformation and migration work, this role is accountable for designing, building, and maintaining automated tools that monitor data quality, identify gaps, and improve overall data integrity. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with an analytical mindset and is passionate about leveraging AI and automation to scale data operations across the organization.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position based in our Chicago, Illinois office, with an expectation of three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, monitor, and improve data integration speed and coverage KPIs while owning process design and implementation.
  • Maintain accountability for enterprise-wide data hygiene and coverage by establishing data quality standards and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated tools that monitor data quality, coverage, and integrity while identifying inconsistencies or missing data.
  • Leverage AI tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, to improve data transformation processes, automate monitoring, and enhance coverage detection.
  • Analyze existing data structures and formats while collecting, cleaning, validating, and transforming data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure successful data conversions.
  • Utilize SQL, Python, JavaScript, and other tools to manipulate, validate, and transform data.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data mappings, conversion processes, and transformation logic.
  • Troubleshoot data conversion issues and implement timely, long-term solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency.
  • Conduct post-conversion validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured datasets using statistical methods and data visualization tools.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, a related business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data transformation, analytics, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of database management principles, data manipulation techniques, and data governance best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience owning enterprise-level data quality or governance initiatives.
  • Experience designing or implementing automated data monitoring, validation, or alerting systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consulting experience and certifications in Snowflake, Power BI, dbt, or related technologies are a plus.

Pay Transparency Statement:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $100,000-120,000 annually.

At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
