Core Technology & Capabilities Domain Product Leader

Location: New York

Reporting to: Head of Enterprise Data Strategy within the Chief Data Office

Partnering closely with: Data Technology, other Marketplace product teams, Marketplace Operations, Data Governance, and business teams across the enterprise

The Data Technology Products & Capabilities domain is responsible for defining and evolving technology-enabled capabilities that support Fitch's internal Data Marketplace and related data ecosystem.

The domain focuses on the product strategy, roadmap, adoption, and business value of technical capabilities that enable multiple user personas to onboard, explore, transform, curate, share, discover, access, and consume data through the Data Marketplace and related solutions. The team partners closely with Data Technology, other Marketplace product teams, Marketplace Operations, and Data Governance to deliver performant, scalable, secure, and reusable capabilities that accelerate data adoption and innovation across the enterprise.

We'll Count on You To:

Lead Data Technology Product Strategy
  • Define the vision, roadmap, and priorities for shared technology capabilities supporting Fitch's Data Marketplace and related ecosystem.
  • Establish long-term capability strategies that improve scalability, self-service, interoperability, and adoption.
  • Translate business and product needs into capability roadmaps that drive measurable value across the enterprise.


Advance Self-Service, Federation & Innovation
  • Lead the evolution of self-service capabilities that enable data producers and consumers to share and access data with minimal friction.
  • Define reusable patterns for federation, automation, and capability integration.
  • Define the vision and roadmap for Data Lab and other innovation capabilities, including evaluation of emerging technologies and build-versus-buy opportunities.


Drive Capability Excellence, Adoption & Operational Readiness
  • Own the lifecycle, prioritization, and continuous improvement of data technology capabilities.
  • Define business requirements and success measures for scalability, usability, reliability, observability, security, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor adoption, service health, and business outcomes to ensure capabilities deliver value and meet user expectations.
  • Partner closely with Data Technology responsible for architecture, engineering, platform operations, and support to ensure capabilities are delivered and operated effectively.


Collaborate Across Broader Team
  • Partner with Data Products & Enablement product domain to improve onboarding, delivery, and operationalization of data products.
  • Partner with Data Experience product domain to ensure capabilities are surfaced through intuitive user experiences.
  • Partner with Data Governance team to ensure capabilities support enterprise policies, controls and other governance requirements.
  • Partner with Product Operations on intake, prioritization, materials and communications, adoption, service management, and performance reporting to ensure effective execution across domains.
  • Partner with AI Data Enablement and Emerging Technology teams to support emerging AI, semantic, and agent-enabled capabilities.


What You Need to Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in data platform product management or related disciplines.
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and capability strategies for enterprise-scale data ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures, cloud platforms, APIs/MCPs, data virtualization, federation, and self-service delivery patterns.
  • Experience working with technologies such as AWS, Starburst/Trino, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, etc.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical capabilities and product requirements.
  • Experience working across product, engineering, architecture, governance and business organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills; ability to explain and present complex technical concepts to executives and non-technical audiences.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200,000 and $235,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
