The Data Strategy Project Manager is a hands-on, execution-focused professional who blends data strategy analysis with disciplined program management and strategic ownership-building and maintaining roadmaps, owning the development and guidance of strategy for select cross-enterprise data products, and tracking status and financials across EDO initiatives. As the Enterprise Data Office grows quickly and takes on more concurrent workstreams, this role is critical to keeping the portfolio organized, focused, and on track.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Data Strategy Project Manager reports to the Head of Data Strategy & Administration, working closely with the EDO senior leadership group (direct reports to the Chief Data Product Officer) and the extended senior leadership group (direct reports of direct reports to the CDPO) to align roadmaps, status, and budgets across the Enterprise Data Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Roadmap & Portfolio Planning

• Own and maintain integrated roadmaps across EDO workstreams, translating strategy and leadership priorities into sequenced, trackable plans.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and resourcing gaps across projects, escalating issues before they threaten timelines.

Status Reporting & Governance

• Own the cadence for project status reporting-collecting, synthesizing, and packaging updates from domain and workstream leads into executive-ready materials.
• Run governance routines: agenda setting, documentation, and follow-ups for EDO working groups, steering committees, and leadership forums.
• Maintain a single source of truth for project status, milestones, and open issues across the EDO portfolio.
• Identify and escalate cross-workstream dependencies, risks, decisions, and  constraints impacting delivery across the EDO portfolio

Financial & Budget Stewardship

• Track financials and budgets across EDO programs, partnering with Finance on forecasting, spend tracking, and variance analysis.
• Monitor vendor spend, resource allocation, and cost efficiency across data platforms and initiatives, flagging risks to leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Hold brief (10-15 minute) weekly check-ins with individual members of the EDO senior leadership group and extended senior leadership group to gather status on their workstreams and surface blockers early.
• Prepare executive-ready communications, dashboards, and briefing materials that translate technical and operational detail into clear narratives.

Data Strategy & Analysis

• Own the development and guidance of strategy for select cross-enterprise data products, partnering with domain and product leads to shape direction and priorities.
• Support the development of enterprise data strategy deliverables, ensuring project plans and reporting remain grounded in EDO priorities and data standards.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities

Location Expectations:
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
