Full Job Description
The Data Steward will be part of the Cleveland Brothers Parts and Service Team, working with business partners, data professionals and technical resources to ensure our data assets and key processes deliver value, follow governing practices and policies.

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Steward to join our team at our Murrysville, PA or Harrisburg, PA corporate office.

Position Summary:

The steward will act as a trusted advisor to business partners by ensuring the data maintenance and growth of our data is adopted and scalable to the outcomes for the stakeholders. As Cleveland Brothers continues their ERP migration journey, the steward will work with the project team to aid in ensuring the migration, completeness and quality of our master data meets our integrity requirements. Ensuring the data supports current and future business processes due to a new ERP will be a focus during the active project and as the stability of the platform matures.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and leaders to implement data management strategies, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Helps to identify, report, analyze, and resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Establishes and enforces data standards, naming conventions, and data classification frameworks
  • Conducts data profiling and analysis to assess the quality, completeness, and accuracy of data assets
  • Implements and monitors data governance processes, including data access controls, data retention policies, and data life cycle management
  • Collaborate with Cleveland Brothers' IT and stakeholders to ensure proper data synchronization across systems
  • Ensures data is deemed fit for purpose by developing data quality rules and regularly auditing data
  • Participates in the development of data policies, including data retention, data privacy, data use, and data regulations

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with Business or STEM focus (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in master data management, data analytics, data engineering, or a related area
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts, data governance frameworks, and data quality principles
  • Proficiency in data profiling and data analysis techniques using tools like SQL, Excel, or data profiling software
  • Experience working within data warehouses
  • Experience with data integration tools, including ETL
  • Familiarity with metadata management and data dictionary tools
  • Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate technical standards, practices, and initiatives to drive data governance throughout the organization
