OverviewVTG is seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative team in Herndon, VA/Chantilly, VA.
What will you do?- Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Develop and implement statistical models, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms.
- Design experiments and evaluate models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
- Translate data-driven findings into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business stakeholders) to identify opportunities for data solutions.
- Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to effectively communicate results.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and AI/ML.
Do you have what it takes?- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Required:- TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
- BS in a quantitative field (mathematics, data science, statistics)
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience directly relevant to analytics, quantitative analysis, data science, artificial intelligence or machine learning
- Proficiency with tools such as Postgresql/SQL, Python, R, and GitLab
- Demonstrated experience with producing analytic insights from large scale data.
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- Experience conveying complex data science insights to non-technical audiences
- Specific experience with the Palantir Foundry/Gotham suite of tools
Desired:- Experience with telecommunications metadata and content analysis
- Experience exploiting or deriving insights from SIGINT, computer network exploitation, or other technical collection
- Prior counterintelligence experience
- Specific interest in or experience with technical surveillance
