Full Job Description
As a Data Scientist supporting Data Strategy, you will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision-making. This is a highly visible role with regular interaction across cross-functional stakeholders, offering the opportunity to influence key initiatives and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data from multiple sources using statistical methods and visualization tools to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Model Development: Build and deploy predictive models using appropriate machine learning techniques aligned to business objectives.
  • Strategy Development: Support the development of data-driven strategies by translating analytical findings into meaningful business recommendations.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data while partnering with governance teams to maintain compliance and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into scalable analytical solutions, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Analytics & Tools: Leverage modern analytics platforms and visualization tools; stay current on emerging technologies and share best practices with teams.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track KPIs, analyze performance trends, and recommend optimizations to improve business outcomes.
  • Innovation & Research: Identify new data sources and analytical approaches to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to data privacy and regulatory requirements, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and typically 4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Economics preferred.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, visualization, and/or supporting data-driven business environments
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Looker, or ThoughtSpot
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Databricks Lakehouse architecture
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Keras)
  • Strong foundation in statistical modeling and predictive analytics
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate insights into business impact
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare and/or supply chain environments strongly preferred
