What You Will Do: As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will apply data science, statistical analysis, and computational techniques to complex datasets in support of mission-critical operations. You will analyze and transform data, develop analytical models, and identify patterns and relationships that support data-driven decision-making.
You will work with technical and mission teams to translate requirements into effective analytical solutions and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships
- Apply statistical, computational, and data science techniques to solve analytical problems
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, normalization, and integration
- Develop and refine analytical models and algorithms
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling
- Develop automated and reproducible data-processing and analytical workflows
- Create visualizations to communicate analytical findings and results
- Evaluate analytical methods and model performance
- Translate mission requirements into technical data solutions
- Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings
- Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Experience in data science, data analytics, statistical analysis, or a related technical field
- Experience working with large or complex datasets
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and analysis
- Experience applying statistical or analytical techniques to real-world data
- Experience developing or supporting analytical models and algorithms
- Experience with data visualization and communicating analytical results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
- Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Clearance Requirement: - Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
