About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with strong analytical and software skills to join our team. The position involves research and development of medical devices related to continuous glucose monitors. The individual will work with members of research staff to support data and analytics infrastructure to improve the performance of continuous glucose sensors through the application of advanced signal processing techniques, statistically-driven analytics, data processing, machine learning, mathematical modeling and experimentation. The role will involve all aspects of the research process, including data gathering, data processing and clean up, analysis, tool development and validation. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in the documentation of such systems for regulatory submissions both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate would have direct experience in data analytics for biomedical devices.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • In new product design roles: develops and programs integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments.
  • Develops descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive models using advanced analytics, statistical methods, signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Applies machine learning and modeling techniques to solve complex real-world problems.
  • Analyzes biological, physiological, and other complex datasets using statistical and signal processing methods.
  • Uses MATLAB, Python, and related tools to develop, implement, and optimize algorithms and software solutions.
  • Translates technical requirements and algorithms into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
  • Develops software solutions by analyzing user needs, workflows, and system requirements while following software development lifecycle best practices.
  • Performs coding, testing, debugging, validation, and performance optimization activities.
  • Leverages Big Data and cloud-based environments for data processing and analytics.
  • Uses Git and version control tools to support collaborative software development.
  • Prepares and maintains technical documentation, specifications, engineering reports, test plans, and validation documents.
  • Documents and communicates solutions through reports, diagrams, flowcharts, visualizations, and clear code.
  • Presents technical concepts, analytical results, and project outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manages multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.


Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have:
  • Biomedical Device experience.
  • MATLAB, Python, AWS, Git and Version Control.
  • Ability to translate technical data.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with Big Data and cloud-based environments for data processing and analytics.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Benefits & Compensation

MiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$87,000.00 - $149,000.00

For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $97,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
