IBM Infosphere Data Replication Specialist
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Primary skills/ Tools: IIDR / CDC / Q Replication, Real-time data replication, CDC config (IMS DB, DB2, CockroachDB, Oracle, Kafka, IBM MQ), Monitoring & troubleshooting, High availability & performance tuning
Secondary skills/ Tools: Linux/Unix & shell scripting, Git / Jenkins, Cloud basics (AWS/Azure/GCP), ETL & data integration basics, Communication & collaboration
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Roles & Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage real-time data replication solutions using IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR / CDC / Q Replication).
• Lead end-to-end project execution from requirements gathering, solution design, deployment, testing, and production support.
• Configure and optimize CDC replication for multiple heterogeneous data sources and targets, including IMS DB, DB2, CockroachDB, Oracle, Kafka, and IBM MQ.
• Architect reliable and scalable data replication frameworks to support enterprise data movement, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure high availability, low latency, and data consistency across all replication flows.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline monitoring, deployments, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot replication issues proactively and provide root-cause analysis for complex production problems.
• Establish and enforce replication best practices, governance models, and enterprise data standards.
• Implement enterprise-level monitoring and alerting for replication health, latency, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with onshore and offshore teams, architects, DBAs, and platform engineers.
• Drive the technical roadmap for data replication, modernization, and integration improvements.
• Support cloud or hybrid migrations by designing replicable and fault-tolerant data flows.
• Document system designs, replication architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing and mentor junior team members on IIDR and replication best practices.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity in all replication pipelines.
Salary Range- $110,000-$125,000 a year
