We are currently seeking a Data Quality Engineer - Hybrid On-Site to join our team in Merrimack, New Hampshire (US-NH), United States (US). Please know that this will be a hybrid on-site based role.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test automation suites for new and existing applications.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives using Jira.
- Perform end-to-end testing of distributed applications across multiple layers, including UI, APIs, middleware, databases, ETL processes, and reporting systems.
- Manage the complete test lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect management, test reporting, and release sign-off activities.
- Validate data integrity, data transformations, and business rules across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DB2 databases using complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, packages, views, and scripts.
- Conduct extensive ETL/ELT testing to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, loading, reconciliation, and compliance with business requirements.
- Validate Business Intelligence (BI) reports, dashboards, and analytical data outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reporting data.
- Perform backend data validation and database testing using advanced SQL queries and database objects.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, data engineers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and SonarQube to support continuous testing and deployment.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams to drive issue resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
- 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
- 5+ years of experence in hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle
- 5+ years of strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
- 5+ years of experience in validating the BI Reports and ETL/ELT work loads
3+ years of SQL skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using frameworks eg. RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
- Strong proven experience in programming - Python.
- Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment - GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.
- The candidate should have experience in designing test strategy, test automation suites independently for a new product/application.
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $102,675-$136,900. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
