Job Summary

The Data Product Manager drives alignment, governance, and optimization of Canteen's enterprise data ecosystem by partnering across teams to ensure data is structured, accessible, and positioned for effective analytics and reporting. This role ensures a trusted single source of truth (SSOT) that supports key platforms such as the customer portal, enhances data quality and consistency, and guides data structure and capture standards to meet evolving business needs. Working cross-functionally, the manager promotes data literacy, aligns stakeholders on key definitions and standards, and positions data for advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and impactful storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Ownership & Alignment - Establish accountability across teams for data stewardship, prioritization, and effective usage.
  • Data Governance & SSOT - Define and maintain standardized data definitions, KPIs, and governance processes to ensure reliable, consistent data across systems.
  • Data Structure Optimization - Lead data capture and structuring standards, balancing freeform and required fields to maximize usability and reporting accuracy.
  • Business Partnership - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, connect data to business outcomes, and drive meaningful insights.
  • Data Literacy Development - Equip users with the skills and confidence to interpret, apply, and trust data in decision-making.
  • AI & Advanced Analytics Readiness - Prepare and enhance data to support AI initiatives and scalable analytical capabilities that elevate client and operational experiences.


Qualifications:

Required
  • Experience: 3-5 years in business intelligence, data management, or analytics, including cross-system data alignment and KPI standardization.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and promote accountability, innovation, and strong performance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), strong data modeling understanding, and SSOT principles; ability to connect underlying data structures to analytics outputs.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to build trust and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Project Management: Proven success managing initiatives from concept through execution while maintaining strategic alignment.
  • Business Engagement: Experience supporting stakeholders' reporting needs and advancing data literacy across functions.
  • Organization: Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering consistent, high-quality results.


Preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, or similar data warehouse technologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies for iterative BI development.
  • Industry experience in food service or hospitality with familiarity in operational KPIs.
