Position OverviewAs a Data Manager Senior within PNC's Data Product organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Denver, CO, Dallas, TX or Philadelphia, PA.
We are seeking a highly accomplished Data Engineering Leader to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale data products and platforms that power analytics, AI/ML, and digital experiences across retail banking and financial services portfolios. This role is responsible for driving strategy, architecture, and execution of real-time streaming and batch data engineering solutions, with a strong emphasis on Kafka-based event-driven architectures, cloud-native platforms, and AI-ready data products.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong people leadership, guiding a diverse team of engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and highly interoperable data solutions that enable near real-time decisioning, self-service analytics, and future AI capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage teams responsible for streaming, batch, big data, graph, and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for enterprise data products, ensuring alignment with business strategy, AI initiatives, and organizational priorities.
Architect and deliver near real-time data platforms using Apache Kafka and event-driven design patterns.
Design high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines supporting operational, analytical, and AI-driven use cases.
Establish Kafka standards for event modeling, schema management, stream processing, governance, observability, and platform reliability.
Design and build reusable, AI-ready data products aligned to retail banking portfolios, business domains, and process families.
Develop interoperable data assets that span structured, semi-structured, unstructured, and graph-based data environments.

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
