JOB DESCRIPTION

Help advance a data-driven culture at a leading global financial institution by strengthening how data is governed, measured, and communicated. You will support enterprise-wide forums and senior stakeholders by translating complex governance and regulatory topics into clear, decision-ready materials. This role offers broad exposure across data, technology, risk, and controls, with opportunities to influence how data standards and operating practices are executed at scale.

As a Data Governance Senior Associate in the Chief Data and Analytics Office, you will drive key initiatives that strengthen enterprise data governance and related executive reporting. You will coordinate with stakeholders across lines of business and corporate functions to support governance forums, maintain governance documentation, and deliver consistent communications. You will develop materials that support regulatory-aligned governance outcomes and leadership decision-making.

You will combine program management, written communication, and analytical skills to improve how governance activities are tracked, measured, and reported. You will help ensure materials are accurate, timely, and aligned to operating expectations, including controls-focused metrics and recurring deliverables.

Job responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance governance materials for executive data governance committees, aligning content to operating objectives and regulatory expectations
  • Produce materials for enterprise governance forums, reinforcing accountability and consistent messaging
  • Maintain and refine enterprise data governance documentation (procedures, charters, operating models, and job aids) with disciplined versioning and review cycles
  • Produce controls-focused governance metrics, key performance indicators, and quarterly reporting, including process documentation and evidence support
  • Build presentations and executive-ready summaries for senior stakeholder and committee engagements
  • Implement tracking mechanisms to monitor due dates, actions, and completion status for governance deliverables
  • Partner with stakeholders across lines of business and corporate functions to coordinate updates and integrate governance initiatives
  • Analyze stakeholder feedback and inquiry themes to improve clarity, consistency, and responsiveness of governance communications
  • Collaborate with technology, risk, business operations, and control partners to support a unified governance approach
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across data governance programs, including process simplification and documentation uplift
  • Contribute to additional enterprise data office initiatives as needed to support broader governance priorities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor27s degree in business, risk management, technology, or a related discipline
  • Five years of experience in data governance, data management, risk and controls, regulatory reporting, or program management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear, executive-ready written materials and presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience, including coordinating work across distributed teams
  • Strong program management skills, including action tracking, dependency management, and delivery against deadlines
  • Experience developing and maintaining process documentation, operating models, and governance artifacts
  • Analytical skills to define, produce, and explain governance metrics and key performance indicators
  • Experience working with collaboration and documentation platforms such as SharePoint and Confluence
  • Understanding of data governance concepts (policy, standards, ownership, stewardship, controls, and issue management)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently quality-check complex materials before publication
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Master27s degree in a related discipline
  • Demonstrated data governance subject matter expertise in an enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting governance activities aligned to Basel Committee on Banking Supervision principles for risk data aggregation and reporting (BCBS 239)
  • Experience operating in a regulated financial services environment
  • Familiarity with data and analytics capabilities, including emerging data technologies and large-scale data platforms
