Help us build trusted, well-managed data that supports better decisions across the organization. In this role, you will bring data governance, data quality, and metadata practices to life by partnering with business and technology teams. You will strengthen ownership, transparency, and accountability while exploring responsible ways to use emerging capabilities, including agentic AI, to improve governance and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Advance enterprise data governance initiatives that improve data trust, transparency, ownership, and accountability.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define and govern business terms, technical metadata, critical data elements, data lineage, and ownership structures.
  • Administer and enhance governance platforms such as Collibra to strengthen cataloging, metadata management, stewardship workflows, policy management, and adoption.
  • Operationalize governance processes for data stewardship, issue management, data classification, and governance controls.
  • Build and improve data quality monitoring and automated validation solutions using SQL, Python, Databricks, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Work with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to identify the root causes of data quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Define and communicate clear governance standards, policies, procedures, and practical guidance that teams can apply consistently.
  • Develop governance metrics, dashboards, and leadership communications that show data quality health, risks, progress, and opportunities.
  • Evaluate emerging capabilities, including agentic and generative AI, to increase governance automation and scale while supporting responsible AI practices.
  • Facilitate governance working sessions, stewardship forums, and stakeholder discussions that build alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clear documentation for data definitions, validation methods, metadata standards, governance processes, and operating models.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and partners on data governance, metadata, data quality, and responsible AI governance.


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, metadata management, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience working with large-scale healthcare data, such as claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, or clinical data.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including experience analyzing data, investigating quality issues, and developing automated validation solutions.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, monitoring, or governance workflows.
  • Experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud analytics platform.
  • Experience implementing or administering a data governance platform such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or a similar solution.
  • Working knowledge of data stewardship, metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, policy governance, and data quality practices.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data science, business analytics, healthcare informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience operationalizing an enterprise metadata management program, especially with Collibra or a similar platform.
  • Experience supporting data governance in a healthcare organization and familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, and PII requirements.
  • Experience with agentic AI, generative AI, AI governance, or AI-enabled workflow automation.
  • Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, data lineage solutions, or modern cloud data ecosystems.
  • Experience with data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, governance scorecards, councils, or stewardship forums.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 98,200 - 163,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
