Technology Development Program (TECDP) - Artificial Intelligence Track - Full Time Associate

The Artificial Intelligence Track is designed for individuals passionate about leveraging AI to create intelligent, human-centered solutions that drive better healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Must have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related field at the time of hire.
    • Additional degrees such as Math or Statistics will be considered if paired with coding experience and exposure to AI Code Generation.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with languages such as Python, JavaScript, or R and experience with AI/ML frameworks. Knowledge of Generative AI tools (Copilot, GitHub, Cursor, etc.).
  • Courses & Experiences: Coursework, research, internships, or projects involving machine learning, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, natural language processing, computer vision, or related AI disciplines. Hands-on application of AI concepts.
  • AI Forward Mindset: Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and their potential to reshape industries. Interest in ethical AI, responsible innovation, and the intersection of AI and human-centered design.
  • Well Rounded: Leadership or involvement in clubs, organizations, or technical competitions such as Hackathons, AI challenges, or research symposiums.

Additional Information
  • Location: This position is based in one of the following office locations: Bloomfield, CT |Morris Plains, NJ | St. Louis, MO | Austin, TX. The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of the employee's choice), and the option to work the remaining days remotely. Relocation assistance is not offered, and employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule for their assigned office location.
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday starting July 12, 2027.
  • Work Authorization: One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore, this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who do not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship including, but not limited to, H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM.
  • Timeline: Process includes a recruiter screen and up to two interviews. Application window closes by mid-October 2026 or once filled.
  • Compensation: Expected base salary is $86,000 for bachelor's graduates and $100,000 for master's graduates, plus competitive benefits.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the program start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 72,400 - 120,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
