Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Data Excellence Manager FAL Mobile to join our U.S. Manufacturing team based in Mobile, AL.

You will be part of a team supporting key Ramp Up and Transformation initiatives by acting as the focal point for the data analytics network for FAL Mobile, managing the local data portfolio, and defining requirements for standard data objects, data products, and data analytics.

Your Challenges:
  • Lead the FAL Mobile Data Analytics network, serving as local data officer and product owner for data.
  • Drive the vision and implementation of data quality for A320 FAL Mobile, collaborating across the data lifecycle to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend best practices, actions, and solutions for data lifecycle structures and tools.
  • Continuously innovate methods for data transformation, data engineering, and data analysis.
  • Conduct complex independent and ad hoc analyses deploying statistical solutions, AI/ML, and predictive/prescriptive models to optimize operations.
  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear, actionable business insights for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coach, mentor, and support internal analysts on best practices, analytics platforms, capacity issues, and tool selection.
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to influence the back-end development of internal applications and tools.
  • Collaborate with PMT teams to define process requirements, process KPIs, standard ways of working, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure proper training, coaching, and awareness of data requirements across FAL Mobile.
  • Monitor operational deviations in a complex FAL environment and launch recovery plans when needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data engineering, AI, ML, and data science to keep operations competitive.

Your Boarding Pass:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Applied Analytics preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of proven experience working on process or data implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of industrial build processes, lean manufacturing techniques, and business data management.
  • Solid capability with big data analytics platforms, cloud computing, and modern AI/ML technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish process KPIs, define Business Object (BO) dictionaries/models, and develop standard ways of working.
  • Effective spoken, written, and influencing communication skills, including experience presenting complex reports and status updates to senior management and large groups.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic/international).

Physical Requirements:

  • Standard office and industrial Final Assembly Line (FAL) environment requirements.
  • Ability to work around aircraft assembly flowlines and flightlines as needed.
