Job DescriptionDesign, develop, implement and maintain our core databases and related processes; Work with development team to optimize and simplify our data related architecture; Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of our databases; Optimization and execution of data related jobs and scripts as required; Support and collaborate with product developers to expand our data schemas and optimize for common use cases; Contribute to the evolution of existing disaster recovery plans; Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls; Determine, enforce and document DB policies, procedures and standards within the team; Performance testing and evaluation to ensure optimal performance and data integrity. Implement database replication between environments using internal tools and Enterprise Database tools. Plan and execute migration of data from on premises databases to cloud data platforms.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and seven (7) years of experience as a Data Engineer or Oracle Database Administrator.
Experience to include:
- Six (6) years of experience working with large Oracle Databases, including working with complex SQL statements and PL/SQL packages.
- Four (4) years in optimization and execution of data-related jobs and scripts.
- Two (2) years of experience designing databases and developing high-volume data solutions; and, building and maintaining highly available, replicated, enterprise-scale database environments.
