Job Summary
The Data Engineer - II will serve as an Integration Engineer/MQ Architect supporting middleware technologies and enterprise integration solutions. The role requires advanced knowledge of IBM MQ and IBM MFT, along with experience designing and implementing technical solutions, Infrastructure as Code, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps. The engineer will work cross-functionally with architects, engineers, business analysts, and service managers across multiple teams, contributing to solutions from inception through design, development, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and support enterprise integration solutions using IBM MQ and IBM MFT.
• Work with architects, engineers, business analysts, and service managers to deliver technical solutions across multiple teams.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, technical specifications, and technology roadmaps.
• Coordinate with diverse groups of subject matter experts to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Complete network and server build requests and support software installation and configuration activities.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Packer.
• Support cloud infrastructure and DevOps initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure environments.
• Configure and support AWS services, including S3, EC2, ASG, ELB, SFTP, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
• Implement high-availability, load-balancing, and failover configurations across application, infrastructure, and platform components.
• Apply security design principles to enterprise software and integration solutions.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Work with source code management tools such as Git and SVN.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and test automation initiatives.
• Support Agile and DevOps practices within cloud environments.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and appropriately escalate technical and risk-based issues.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners, leadership, and technical teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and modernization of enterprise integration and cloud solutions.

Required Qualifications
• 5-10 years of recent and relevant experience as an MQ Architect or Integration Engineer, including experience designing and implementing technical solutions.
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience with IBM MQ and IBM MFT.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and Packer.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, ASG, ELB, SFTP, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
• Strong knowledge of high availability, load balancing, and failover configurations across application, infrastructure, and platform components.
• Understanding of security design principles for enterprise software systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure environments.
• Experience with source code management tools such as Git or SVN.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting.
• Experience working with technologies and formats such as JSON, YAML, and Boto3.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, including design documents, specifications, and technology roadmaps.
• Ability to coordinate and work effectively with diverse groups of subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications
• AWS certification or experience utilizing AWS services in a production environment.
• Experience with automated build and system configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation within CI/CD processes.
• Working knowledge of technology solutions such as MQ Salesforce Bridge and Grafana.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices in a cloud environment.
• Practical knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture, microservices, and APIs.
• Expertise in application server and web server architecture within large enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting both internally facing integrations and externally facing solutions.

Certifications
• AWS certification is preferred.
