Full Job Description
We9re looking for a Data Engineer to own and evolve the data foundations across APM9s publisher portfolio. You9ll drive architectural decisions that ensure every insight delivered to business teams is grounded in reliable, well-modeled data. The pipelines, models, and quality frameworks you build will enable trusted decision-making at scale - balancing customer experience with advertiser value.
Key job responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data models and end-to-end data pipelines across APM9s publisher data, leveraging AWS services (such as Redshift, EMR, Airflow, Kinesis, Lambda) and internal Amazon tools
Drive architectural decisions for data solutions within a unified modeling framework that serves both human analysts and AI-powered analytics agents, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability
Define and implement data quality standards across the datasets you own by building automated monitoring, investigating anomalies, and driving root-cause resolution with minimal guidance
Partner with business stakeholders to deeply understand their decision-making needs, translating ambiguous requirements into trusted, well-modeled data products
Lead the design of next-generation APM data architecture to improve scale, quality, timeliness, coverage, monitoring, and security while influencing team-wide technical direction
Support and mentor other engineers on data engineering best practices, code quality, and system design principles
A day in the life
As a Data Engineer on our team, you9ll focus on architecting and maintaining the data pipelines and models that support our publisher monetization platform. You might spend your morning collaborating with analytics and business intelligence teams to understand evolving data requirements, then transition into designing schema improvements or optimizing query performance for our data warehouse. You9ll work alongside software engineers to integrate new data sources, partner with product teams to validate data quality, and participate in design reviews where you9ll help shape how we approach complex data challenges. Your work directly impacts the reliability of insights that business teams depend on to make strategic decisions about advertising inventory and publisher partnerships.
