Who we are looking forThis is what you will doThe Data Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. By leveraging on-premises and cloud technologies, the Data Engineer will ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data across the organization. This role is essential to enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting the company's mission to harness data for business insights and innovation.
You'll be responsible for:- Manage Data Integrations
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable ETL/ELT processes, integrating structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources using SSIS and Databricks.
- Monitor existing and new jobs and data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Optimize data workflows for high performance and scalability.
- Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across various systems.
- Support Projects
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based or on-premises data solutions to support various business needs.
- Design and implement SSIS packages and processes to support existing on-premises systems
- Create Power BI dashboards and paginated reports to support business users and reporting needs.
- Collaboration
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Collaborate with the IT team to provide technical solutions and resolve issues.
- Documentation
- Maintain documentation for data processes and systems.
You will need to have- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server, SSIS, and Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational database management system.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management, data warehousing, data Lakehouse concepts, and ETL/ELT.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Blob Storage.
- Experience with Power BI, or other reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, PySpark, Python or other programming languages.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, technical local and international team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
We would prefer for you to have- Pharmaceutical industry experience.
