Role Overview:

This role involves providing comprehensive 24/7, on-call, and mandatory in-person hands-on support for critical data center operations. The individual will be responsible for maintaining physical infrastructure, managing assets, and coordinating with various technical teams and vendors to ensure seamless data center functionality and responsiveness to technical requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 and on-call support with mandatory in-person availability in the shift.
  • Offer hands-on support for servers, network, and backup devices.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of data center assets.
  • Handle receiving and shipping of devices, including racking appliances, switches, routers, firewalls, and servers.
  • Maintain and request necessary supplies when needed.
  • Assist Network, Unix, Storage, and Security teams with troubleshooting and installations.
  • Perform labeling and cabling of devices/wires and validate them.
  • Move a client KVM to another server or system for client to perform remote troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for spares and parts necessary for inventory.
  • Maintain information about spare inventory like Fiber cables, connectors etc., and be aware of inventory movement processes (commissioning and decommissioning), including any required updates in the asset management system and free port availability.
  • Possess information about Inlet & outlet power supply / Dual supply.
  • Have access to Blade Chassis and on Physical Server integrated console for configuration.
  • Understand timing and process for access to the Data Center, including un-racking, packing, and shipping equipment to another location.
  • Perform power cycling of a router, server and switch, and soft-booting a server.
  • Work on trouble tickets as they are assigned.
  • Possess knowledge of HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), Power backup (power generator), and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of required technologies (including 3rd party solutions).
  • Knowledge of all Infrastructure technologies, including monitoring and event management technologies.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Be very responsive and take immediate action for technical team requests.
  • Cyber Security.
  • Digital : Cloud Service Management.

Qualifications:
