About the Role:

As the Project Management Manager, you will be supporting the underlying infrastructure that sustains one of CBRE's High Performance Computing (HPC) clients located in Lemont, Illinois. You will be responsible for ensuring various projects, extra works and programs move ahead in support of current and future initiatives. It is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of High Performance Compute (HPC) environments.

This position requires an advanced Project Management skill set, solid infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to operate within an environment of critical workloads and rigorous compliance requirements, primarily on-site. Knowledge of critical infrastructure (ideally related to data centers) including electrical, mechanical, cooling, and facility infrastructure is key to success.

It is imperative that the individual has advanced presentation and communications skills to convey key messages to executives, and be able to do so in a professional and concise manner.

What You'll Do:
• Provide a specialized understanding of critical electrical, mechanical, cooling, and facility infrastructure.
• Represent the central source of knowledge regarding projects, extra works and critical repairs. Ability to prioritize various initiatives, and make the case. Craft business cases or justifications for client and CBRE understanding and approval.
• In conjunction with the site team and various stakeholders, the Program Management Manager is required to solicit, coordinate, map out and continually manage overall critical repairs, replacements and extra works within the context of numerous activities on site. Responsible for ensuring an operational 12-18 month view, as well as a 5 year roadmap is maintained.
• Identify complex project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.
  • Oversee all phases of project management related to the site are accurate, timely and compliant... including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, execution, administration, and closeout.
• Work cross-functionally with CBRE support engines (i.e., Procurement, Project Mgmt., Commercial, Finance).
• Provide advanced communications (both verbal and written) to various constituents, including executives having varying depth of technical backgrounds. It is imperative to know the audience, be concise and responsive.
• Be involved and actively lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and presentations pertaining to project management initiatives, whether that be creation, delivery, or updates. Provide standard and ad-hoc reports as necessary.
  • Function as the CBRE resource to aid in creating and maintaining specific plans, playbooks, and procedures for the assigned account, making certain project playbooks are current, complete, and implemented.
• Lead on driving continuous improvement objectives. Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Experience in the areas of training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously to deliver on cost, quality and timelines.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• Understanding the unique requirements of a cutting-edge data center and multi-purpose facility.
• Ability to professionally communicate (both verbally and in written form) to various constituents, including executives having any range of technical backgrounds. It is imperative to know the audience, be concise and responsive.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Data Center Project Manager position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary of $188,500 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
