Description Data Center Interconnection Specialist: The Data Center Interconnection Specialist reports to the Manager Data Center Interconnection and is a member of CoreSite's network engineering team. This position provides technical expertise in the design, engineering, and implementation of CoreSite inside and outside cable plant. The candidate will have an expert level of knowledge regarding cable design and layout. They will provide engineering designs to construction team on interconnection design standards. The candidate will work with local field operations teams to support capacity augments as well as new builds. This role is responsible for assisting in leading the management and integration of the Data Center Inventory Management software system. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating between DCIM vendor, IT systems group, and Field Operations personnel to integrate DCIM system into the order workflow process. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the data integrity of the system and continue to work with the Field Operations SMEs to support the MACD process. Under minimal supervision, the Data Center Interconnection Specialist will perform advanced level functions in support of a multi-site service provider environment. The candidate will provide technical assistance and perform problem resolution on application issues and advanced interconnection issues. Manage medium to large scale complex projects affecting the entire plant. Assist in the design of the company fiber network architecture and detailed technical configuration.
What You'll Do: - Design and architecture of current and future interconnection technology needs of company with emphasis on optimizations to current architectures, high availability configurations, and new product offerings.
- Implementation of DCIM platform into production workflow.
- Occasional travel to data center sites for planning, installation, or support needs
- Attendance at industry trade shows as needed.
- Establish and maintain testing standards for interconnection products
- Work to improve processes related to interconnection product delivery
- Establish engineering standards for MDF, IDF, intra-building connectivity, and outside plant connectivity.
- Provide training to new hire field operations personnel as well as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Produce network topology diagrams for existing and new infrastructures for sales, customers, marketing, and other internal needs.

Education/Experience: - 5+ years' experience in data center interconnection design and operations.
- 2+ years' experience with managing physical cable plants
- 2+ years' experience with DCIM tools.
- Experience running MDF/IDF architecture
- Experience in multi-tenant data center environments
- Preferred experience in data center or telecommunications industry
- Preferred experience TIA/EIA environments
- Two year college/trade education preferred

Compensation: Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $94,700 and $111,900 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
