***Must be within driving distance to Bristol, PA******Position is in-office and on client sites***About the RoleWe are seeking a Datacom Project Manager to lead project delivery from initiation through completion, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with customer requirements and company standards. This role is well suited for someone who works independently, communicates clearly with technical and customer stakeholders, and maintains strong control over documentation, risks, and implementation details throughout the project lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities- Manage datacom and network infrastructure projects from kickoff through completion, maintaining alignment with scope, timelines, customer requirements, and internal standards
- Coordinate internal teams, vendors, carriers, and customers to keep project activities moving and dependencies clearly tracked
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, procurement status, and implementation schedules, escalating risks and resolving issues in a timely, structured manner
- Support change control, issue tracking, documentation, and operational handoff to ensure continuity after implementation
- Review network diagrams, bills of materials, technical documentation, and implementation plans to support accurate project execution
- Communicate project status, risks, and next steps clearly to customers, engineers, and internal stakeholders
Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities- Ability to manage technical projects independently while maintaining accuracy, follow-through, and accountability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, vendors, engineers, and internal teams
- Comfort operating in structured environments with defined processes for change management, issue tracking, and risk management
- Ability to interpret technical documentation related to LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless networks, and carrier services
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools, ticketing systems, and Microsoft Office applications
Other Requirements- Experience managing datacom, telecom, or network infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar tools
- Experience with ticketing or workflow systems such as ServiceNow, ConnectWise, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with budget tracking, procurement coordination, and order status monitoring
- Additional experience with fiber/copper circuit provisioning, VoIP or UCaaS deployments, data center coordination, migration support, or network testing is helpful
Hours & Schedule This position is primarily business hours (Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm EST) with occasional after-hours work for incident troubleshooting or project work. All engineers are part of an on-call rotation and may be escalated issues off hours.
