Description
MIGFR is seeking a Data Analytics Officer to support the strengthening of MIGA's Data and Analytics function. The role will enable the effective integration, management, and use of operational, financial, and risk data to enhance decision-making across the Agency.
Duties and Responsibilities:• Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of MIGA's Data Governance Program, including data quality standards, data classification protocols, metadata management practices, and data stewardship procedures
• Maintain and improve MIGA's data repositories and reporting datasets, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and consistency in line with governance standards.
• Develop and maintain a centralized data inventory and data dictionary across core MIGA datasets
• Support the development and enhancement of business intelligence tools and reporting solutions to strengthen decision-making across the organization
• Produce analytical briefs, background papers, dashboards, and data visualizations that synthesize complex datasets into accessible insights for management
• Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, business intelligence, and digital tools to enhance operational effectiveness and risk insight
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into data and analytic solutions
• Support integration of data across MIGA systems and platforms to enable consistent and scalable reporting
Selection Criteria
• Master's degree in Data Science, Finance or any other relevant disciplines and at least 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong data management, analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable business insights
• Experience in data governance, data management, and business intelligence development
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced analytical work and develop intuitive data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate insights to management.
• Knowledge and experience of artificial intelligence/data science/machine learning techniques and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior management, technical teams, and external partners.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail while maintaining a clear sense of business priorities.
• Ability to articulate complex technical/data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate organization change by building consensus and resolving challenges
