Senior Data Analytics Lead - Design, develop, and maintain advanced data solutions to support an aerospace manufacturing improvement initiative

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with program leads, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions for aerospace manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data products (e.g., Power BI dashboards, Databricks datasets) using tools like Python and relevant libraries.
  • Analyze historical performance and demand trends to identify bottlenecks and key part numbers.
  • Create and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to track KPIs such as yield, supplier lead times, and on-time delivery.
  • Provide insights to cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions and process improvements in engineering, supply chain, and operations.
  • Prioritize critical parts and recommend producibility enhancements.
  • Use advanced data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI) for visualization and communication of findings.
  • Track the impact of corrective actions on delivery performance and turnaround times.
  • Support RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) initiatives and collaborate on producibility enhancements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across the data lifecycle.
  • Manage and optimize data systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Implement and monitor ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for seamless data integration.
  • Uphold best practices in data storage, retrieval, security, and compliance.
  • Document data engineering processes and provide technical support for data-related issues

Required Qualifications:
  • Eligible to work in Canada and able to work on-site.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analysis, supply chain, quality, or a related field, preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field (master's preferred).
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Experience with data frameworks like Apache Spark and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing tools (e.g., Databricks).
  • Knowledge of ETL tools, data modeling, architecture, and governance.
  • Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
