As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Data Analytics Consultant to join our West team.

About the Role

As an experienced Data Analytics Consultant this individual will work as part of our data analytics team, supporting clients with requirements gathering, prototyping, development, and support. Client scenarios range in complexity. This individual must have a good blend of people, functional, and technical skills for cross-team collaboration and support. We are looking for individuals who will interface with multiple business and technology stakeholders and teams to evaluate and improve existing processes using multiple technology platforms.
  • Location: Canada
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Work Mode: Remote


What You Will Do

  • Architecting, designing, and developing end to end analytical data solutions from source raw data all the way to Power BI front end
  • Providing oversight and expertise in Data Modeling and Database Design
  • Working with business/project team members to understand the requirements
  • Defining BI framework model, semantic layers and Metadata repositories to support reporting and administration
  • Developing and managing BI end user presentation layer training and documentation.
  • Technical documentation
  • Supporting business development efforts (proposals and client presentations)
  • Estimating effort for development and support engagements in Data Engineering and related technologies
  • Status reporting
  • Interacting with various client and management stake holders to get the work completed

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in Microsoft Data Stack incl. SQL Server, data warehousing, MS Fabric/Data Bricks
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in Microsoft BI Stack incl. Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS
  • Proficiency in the development and administration of at least one of the following areas:
  • Back end data integration and architecture including dimensional data modeling, database design, data warehousing, ETL development (e.g. ADF), and performance tuning, front-end reporting and analytics platforms including OLAP cube design, tabular data modeling.
  • Strong Data Modeling skills for Star-Schema
  • Strong Programming skills in T-SQL, Spark (PySpark, SQL, Scala, etc), DAX, Power Query
  • Strong analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports
  • Experience developing visual reports including custom visuals, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI
  • The ability to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in the data platforms of SQL Server, Azure, MS Fabric and Power BI
  • Foundational knowledge of the following areas: Metadata Management; Master Data Management; Data Governance; Data Analytics
  • Good understanding of AI fundamentals.
  • Certifications required:
  • -Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
  • -Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
