Overview

The Data Analyst II is a highly skilled analytics professional responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex data analyses and reporting processes. They independently lead data projects, provide strategic insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-impacting solutions. With advanced technical skills, domain expertise, and a solid understanding of business requirements, they ensure stakeholders receive meaningful, actionable insights to drive decision-making.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Lead the development of high-quality visual insights and reports for executive-level presentations.
  • Client Interaction: Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, managing client relationships and ensuring satisfaction.

Education/Degree Requirements/Certifications

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field. Experience with SQL, data wrangling, and data visualization is preferred. (On-the-job training will be provided to help the Data Analyst II develop their technical and business skills. • Knowledge in designing, implementing, and managing complex data analyses and reporting processes.

• SQL (Required): Ability to design and implement complex database schemas, use advanced SQL features like CTEs and window functions, and perform query optimization for large datasets.

• Data Wrangling (Required): Ability to automate data cleaning processes, handle large datasets efficiently, and use advanced techniques such as feature engineering and data normalization.

• Data Visualization (Required): Ability to design and implement advanced visualizations, including custom visualizations, geospatial visualizations, and interactive dashboards.

• Statistics (Required): Proficiency in inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA. Ability to interpret and communicate statistical results.

• Business Intelligence (BI) Development (Required): Ability to design and implement advanced BI solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization.

• General Coding Experience (Required): Ability to design and implement complex software solutions, including using advanced programming techniques and frameworks. Python preferred.

• Communication (Required): Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences, tailoring recommendations to stakeholder needs.

• Domain Experience (Preferred): Ability to utilize significant healthcare domain knowledge to provide meaningful context for data analysis and reporting.

Compensation & Benefits: This position offers opportunities for a bonus (or commissions), with total compensation varying based on factors such as location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
