Full Job Description
Job Purposes
  • Implement and sustain cloud data platforms and industrial data solutions end-to-end, covering deployment, configuration, and ongoing operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer outcomes and SLAs.
  • Contribute to service excellence by participating in ticket escalations and periodic reporting when required, maintaining a high standard of customer communication and professionalism.
  • Execute internal design, system build, and testing in support of solution road map; deploy solutions and produce pre/post-implementation documentation.


Responsibilities
  • Business Requirements Identification - Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
  • Technical Developments Recommendation - Research and suggest technical developments to prove the quality of the used technology, such as systems, processes, infrastructure, installations, and machines.
  • Technical Database Support - Design distribution of basic database resources and provide physical modeling and design services to tune database applications for optimum performance.
  • Database Specifications - Provide information and comments on suitability during the approval process for database specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.
  • Information Security - Implement required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
  • Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be" - Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance - Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
  • Documentation and Backup - Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
  • Personal Capability Building - Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or Equivalent Level of experience


General Experience:
  • Experience in providing customer support in an IT solutions environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud data engineering and industrial data systems concepts.
  • Experience working with cloud products and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Relational Databases (e.g, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with time-series data management.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols and data historians; (e.g., OPC DA/UA, MQTT, Modbus, COM/DCOM).
  • Experience with OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System a plus.
