What You Will Do:The D&S Financial Management Director supports Guidehouse's Defense & Security Segment in delivery of Financial Management contracts across Defense, Homeland Security, and/or Law Enforcement agencies. This person will bring depth of experience and advise on a range of accounting, audit readiness, and overall financial improvement and transformation issues on existing engagements and new pursuits focused on Financial Management solutions within the D&S market. This role will be a combination of engagement delivery and new opportunity pursuit with a strong emphasis on technical thought leadership. The role will seek to find the intersections between various mission related needs of our clients and professional services.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of a portfolio and area of the D&S FM business to include delivery, growth strategies and execution, and development and management of the teams
- Engaging with senior executives to analyze, understand, align, and deliver on business initiatives
- Leadership of multiple separate but interrelated teams to deliver innovative and technically sound solutions to clients in alignment with senior executive expectations and as a cohesive portfolio
- Engage with internal and external partners to develop and implement collaborative environments in support of deliverables and innovative, strategic, technical financial management solution delivery
- Thought leadership contributions to advise Guidehouse FM leadership in driving FM capability innovation and growth
- Maintaining consistent, frequent on-site presence with clients to deliver and oversee engagements
What You Will Need:- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- FOURTEEN (14)+ years' of financial management experience, to include direct support of Federal Agencies within the DoD and National Security Space
- Strong communications acumen in support of client engagement and briefing client senior executives
- Experience translating policy and standards into programmatic actions and project delivery
- Knowledge of federal agency FM missions and initiatives
What Would Be Nice To Have:- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
- Advanced degree focused on accounting or relevant business discipline
- CPA, CGFM, and/or other financial management focused certifications
- Relevant existing relationships with agency FM senior executives
