Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is seeking a full-time Supervisor II to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic fielding and development support in a national laboratory environment. The Stockpile Experimentation & Operations (SEO) organization is looking for a highly motivated Supervisor II to collaborate in design, development, characterization, and fielding of diagnostics systems on weapons physics experiments conducted at the the Nevada National Security Sites (NNSS). This Supervisor II will report primarily to the NNSS and will support fielding efforts for a wide variety of diagnostic detection and recording systems, with an emphasis on theory and practical applications of diagnostics systems such as electro-mechanical and radiographic imaging systems.
Key Responsibilities- Directly supervises multi-disciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and scientists, including monitoring their work performance against specific goals and metrics.

- Interacts daily with subordinates, support organizations, and multi-organizational project team.
- Establishes activity level work control documents and conducts pre-job and post-job briefings.

- Provides day-to-day work direction while ensuring scope, schedule and budget are met.
- Works with managers, supervisors, and employees to deconflict work and resolve issues.

- Will perform work of the same type as those being supervised, as well as, providing technical guidance when necessary.
- Perform additional duties unique to this position as assigned by manager.
Qualifications- Bachelors' degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
- At least 3 years of experience at Department of Energy (DOE) complex preferred.
- Able to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of employees throughout the company, customers, and outside agencies.
- Able to prioritize and schedule multiple activities in the most efficient and effective manner while meeting required deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required in ensuring that policy decisions, procedures, and operations are compliant with MSTS and DOE regulations, procedures, and federal and state laws.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to deal with conflicting personalities in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality is required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities, and apply leadership concepts with an emphasis on continuous improvement and team building.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday-Thursday (change to work schedule as required).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Annual salary range for this position is:
$103,480.00 - $165,568.00Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
