The successful candidate will lead the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of cybersecurity programs that span multiple stakeholders, technologies, and business functions. This role serves as the primary interface between leadership, cybersecurity teams, system owners, program offices, and external partners to ensure strategic objectives are translated into measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong program management capabilities with a working knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, governance, compliance, and modernization initiatives.
Pay Range: $180,000 – $230,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead day-to-day management of cybersecurity and information security programs.
- Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership organizations.
- Monitor program progress, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of program deliverables and strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison between executives, program leadership, cybersecurity teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, working groups, governance forums, and executive reviews.
- Coordinate stakeholder communications and decision-making processes.
- Manage action item tracking and issue resolution activities.
- Build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Support development of cybersecurity strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Prepare executive briefings, dashboards, and status reports.
- Track program performance using meaningful business and technical metrics.
- Develop recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and program outcomes.
- Support leadership decision-making through data-driven analysis and reporting.
Risk Management & Governance
- Track program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Support governance activities and compliance reporting requirements.
- Coordinate mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Maintain program documentation and management artifacts.
- Support audit readiness and oversight activities as required.
Organizational Change & Modernization
- Support implementation of cybersecurity modernization initiatives.
- Coordinate stakeholder adoption efforts and organizational change activities.
- Assist with workforce engagement, communications, and training initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration between mission, business, and technology organizations.
- Help organizations implement sustainable governance and operational practices.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional experience supporting federal programs, cybersecurity initiatives, technology modernization efforts, or enterprise transformation activities.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience developing executive communications, reports, and briefings.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, risk management, governance, or compliance concepts.
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies, healthcare organizations, defense agencies, or highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity programs.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or modernization initiatives.
- Experience coordinating large, cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience supporting risk management, governance, or compliance initiatives.
- Experience working within Agile, hybrid, or traditional project management environments.
