About The Role
Peraton is seeking a self-driven and resourceful Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic of Network and UC engineers in Washington, DC.
The Cybersecurity Engineer (CSfC Specialist) designs, implements, and maintains secure communications solutions using layered commercial products approved under NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) architectures. The position supports secure voice, data-at-rest, and data-in-transit requirements within classified environments.
Cybersecurity Engineer responsibilities:
- Drive modernization efforts by engineering and implementing infrastructure improvements, automation capabilities, and technology refresh initiatives
- Design and implement CSfC-compliant architectures.
- Integrate approved commercial encryption technologies.
- Develop and maintain security documentation and accreditation packages.
- Perform security assessments and vulnerability analysis.
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
- Implement secure communications and data protection solutions.
- Coordinate with government security personnel and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with NSA and DoD requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- An active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
- Bachelors degree in engineering (or similar technical field) and eight (8+) years relevant experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience with CSfC capability packages.
- CySA+ or GSEC.
- DoD 8140/8570 Compliant.
- At least 3 years of direct CSfC engineering experience.
- Experience supporting classified environments.

- CSfC-approved encryption technologies

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
