We are seeking a Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience achieving ATO’s in a cloud environment (OCI, AWS, AZURE, GCP)
• Five (5) years of experience achieving ATOs for compartment DoD IT systems.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications

8140 Requirements: Dod Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist 6 Intermediate. Candidates must satisfy this requirement through one of the following pathways:

• BA/BS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering

Or

• Approved DCWF 521 certifications: (at least one of these certifications)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
  • CompTIA PenTest+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON)
  • GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Or

• Approved DCWF Work Role 521 Military Training

AND

DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 441: Network Operations Specialist 6 Intermediate. Candidates must satisfy this requirement through one of the following pathways:

• BA/BS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering

• Approved DCWF 441 certifications: (at least one of these certifications)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
  • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Or

• Approved DCWF Work Role 441 Military Training

AND

Computing Environment Certification

• Cloud Security Certification
  • Amazon Web Services Certified Security
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Clearance

• Secret with IT-I (Tier 3)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the architecture and design of cloud-hosted IT systems are secure and meet DOD requirements.
• Reviews Cloud security policy and provides recommendations for improvement to enhance security posture within the cloud as well as the ability to meet protection, detection, monitoring and response requirements for systems and data.
• Applies knowledge of current advances in cloud security engineering and cloud security threats to provide support for the deployment of programs and applications. Provides input to programs throughout the process of dep
• loyment to ensure systems meet DOD compliance
• Provides guidance to assessment staff in the performance of Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessments as related to cloud hosting environments.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $125,000 - $175,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
