Cybersecurity Analyst

Location: Keyport, WA

Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support NAVSEA NUWC Keyport in Keyport, WA. In this role, you will support Risk Management Framework (RMF) security and compliance activities for DoD and Navy information systems that enable the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Operations Center (UUV OC). Your work will help maintain system security, support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, perform vulnerability management, and ensure continuous compliance throughout the system lifecycle.

You'll work alongside a collaborative technical team to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of mission critical systems while supporting ongoing assessment, authorization, and operational sustainment efforts.

This opportunity is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. The position level and compensation will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications.

Program Timing: This position supports an upcoming proposal opportunity with an anticipated September start.

What You'll Do

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will:
  • Implement and test security controls in accordance with RMF, STIGs, and applicable DoD and Navy directives while supporting secure system documentation, validation, and testing.
  • Conduct ACAS scans, analyze results, and perform IAVM activities to identify, track, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Support risk identification, mitigation planning, continuous monitoring, and compliance reporting in alignment with Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA) guidance.
  • Prepare and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages and support activities required to obtain and sustain an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
  • Provide day to day cybersecurity support to the Project Manager and Team Leads across system assessment, authorization, and operational sustainment.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ or 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ or 6+ years of experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or active TS/SCI.
  • Three or more years of experience supporting cybersecurity, RMF compliance, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring in DoD or Navy environments.
  • Hands on experience with ACAS, IAVM processes, security control assessments, and A&A and ATO support.
  • Working knowledge of RMF, STIGs, DoD and Navy cybersecurity requirements, and current certification compliant with DoDM 8140.03.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, leadership, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Navy cybersecurity programs and working with Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA) processes and guidance.
  • Familiarity with developing mitigation strategies, maintaining authorization documentation, and sustaining compliance.
