Cyber Systems Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 100% Onsite (Closed Area Environment)
Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Clearance or Higher

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support network, infrastructure, and systems administration activities within a complex DoD environment. This role will work across Windows and Linux systems, virtualized infrastructure, and LAN/WAN environments while supporting cybersecurity and system availability requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on systems administration and virtualization experience, a strong understanding of network technologies, and an active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities
  • Support administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating system environments.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot virtualized infrastructure using VMware technologies.
  • Support LAN and WAN infrastructure and associated network services.
  • Assist with system configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
  • Support cybersecurity requirements within a classified DoD environment.
  • Collaborate with network, systems, cybersecurity, and engineering personnel.
  • Maintain system documentation and support technical reviews as required.
  • Perform work within a 100% onsite, closed-area environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE.
  • Experience with VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter.
  • Experience with LAN and WAN management.
  • Strong systems administration experience within Windows and Linux operating system environments.
  • Ability to work onsite in a closed-area environment 100% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Solaris, Unix, RHEL, and Cisco networks.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity management systems.
  • Familiarity with network technologies and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
