About the RoleThis role bridges the gap between cutting-edge science and technology (S&T) and operational cyber mission execution, with a strong emphasis on understanding U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) operations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a technical and operational advisor to PD IS&C on cyber-related initiatives.
- Translate operational cyber needs into S&T priorities and vice versa.
- Engage with USCYBERCOM, Joint Force Headquarters, and other DoD stakeholders to align R&E efforts with operational requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies in cyber, sensing, and electronic warfare for applicability to current and future operations.
- Support the development of strategic roadmaps and technical assessments.
- Represent PD IS&C in interagency and DoD forums related to cyber operations and technology integration.
Qualifications- Deep understanding of USCYBERCOM missions, structure, and operational planning processes.
- Strong background in cyber operations, or integrated sensing.
- Experience working at the intersection of S&T and operational communities.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical information for senior decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- 15+ years relevant experience
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelors Degree required; STEM Masters Preferred.
Preferred Experience- Prior experience supporting or working within USCYBERCOM or a Combatant Command.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition and R&E processes.
