Full Job Description
Cyber Security Project Manager (PMP Required) for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will lead and coordinate multiple enterprise technology initiatives involving infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and business applications. This role requires an experienced project management professional who can drive projects from planning through implementation while collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. Required Qualifications of the Cyber Security Project Manager (PMP Required): - Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies. - Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. - 3+ years of project management experience supporting infrastructure, network, application, or enterprise technology projects. - 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining project documentation, policies, procedures, training materials, and best practices. - 3+ years of experience managing full lifecycle change management initiatives. - 3+ years of experience working with PCI, IRS Publication 1075, NIST, or comparable compliance and security standards. - Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications. - Experience coordinating cross-functional teams through project planning, testing, implementation, and deployment activities. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present project status and recommendations to leadership. - Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia and be within commuting distance of Columbia, SC. Preferred Skills/Experience of the Cyber Security Project Manager (PMP Required): - Experience managing IT projects within a government or public-sector environment. - Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Office 365, and Visio. - Business Analyst and/or Quality Assurance experience. - Vendor management and contractor coordination experience. - Experience with metrics analysis, reporting, and project performance tracking. - Background managing information security or cybersecurity-related projects. Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Project Manager (PMP Required): - Lead multiple technology projects, ensuring delivery within established timelines, budgets, and business objectives. - Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk assessments, status reports, and other project management deliverables. - Coordinate activities among technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to support successful project execution. - Manage project issues, risks, change requests, and escalation processes while providing regular status updates to stakeholders. - Track project financials, resource utilization, and performance metrics, and prepare reports for management review. - Support implementation planning, knowledge transfer activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the project portfolio.
