Full Job Description
Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Expert with deep technical expertise and the ability to lead security projects to drive improvements across the organization. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical skills, project leadership, and excellent communication abilities. You will work alongside other teams including Governance Risk and Compliance, and local IT.

Reports to: NORAM Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Location: Sterling Heights, MI or Montreal, CAN

Department: IT Cyber Security Services

Key Responsibilities

- Own and resolve escalated incident response efforts, including cross-team coordination and root cause analysis

- Implement security controls, risk assessment framework, and program that align to Corporate and regulatory requirements, ensuring documented and sustainable compliance that aligns and advances EQUANS NORAM business objectives.

- Evaluate risks and develop security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks. Improves EQUANS NORAM security positioning through process improvement, policy, automation, and the continuous evolution of capabilities.

- Lead cybersecurity initiatives and projects from planning through execution.

- Review and improve existing security architecture, designs, and implementations.

- Assess and update security policies, standards, and processes for alignment with industry benchmarks and requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into business and IT operations.

- Contribute to incident response efforts including investigations, containment and lesson learned reviews.

- Communicate risks, recommendations and findings to stakeholders and leadership in a well structured manner

Minimum Qualifications Required Education/Experience

- Minimum of 5+ years in Cyber Security Role -

BS/BA (with an IT focus) or 7+ years of progressive Information Technology and Cybersecurity work experience in lieu of degree.

Required Technical Skills

- Experience with deploying digital solutions with a focus on properly securing environments based on best practice designs

- Excellent understanding of risk management, threat modeling and security frameworks

- Hands-on experience with incident response, threat detection, and root cause analysis

- Solid understanding of securing cloud infrastructures such as Azure

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and executive-level audiences

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while adhering to project deadlines

- Proven experience in cybersecurity architecture, policy and process review

- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent documentation skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear reports

- Strong communications skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
