Work you will do

The Cyber Operate Manager will be responsible for leading and managing Cyber Managed Services delivery across multiple cybersecurity domains, while driving service stability, continuous improvement, and client outcomes.

The key job responsibilities includes
  • Serve as a cyber delivery lead and technical specialist across managed cyber services, spanning multiple cybersecurity domains.
  • Lead team members through providing technical expertise, delivery leadership, and quality assurance for client outcomes across multiple cyber workstreams.
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty.
  • Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their development.
  • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.

  • Support governance, risk, and audit activities by defining controls and processes, coordinating evidence collection, tracking remediation, and providing management reporting.
  • Lead cybersecurity program delivery for clients, translating requirements into delivery plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Perform gap analysis, provide resolution for recurring issues, and plan service evolution roadmaps directly with client stakeholders.
  • Manage client stakeholders and service governance, including risk/issue management, escalation, and alignment across onsite and global teams.
  • Manage vendors and service management processes (incident, change, problem, service requests) and ensure SLAs/OLAs and reporting meet client expectations.
  • Creating a positive working environment by monitoring and managing workloads of the team - balancing client expectations with the work-life quality of team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by introducing process improvements and technology innovations to increase efficiencies of the team.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity service delivery and/or consulting, with experience across multiple cyber domains.
  • 5+ years of Experience with broader cyber areas with expertise in any one areas (Data Protection, network security, Vulnerability Management, Application Security)
  • Hands on experience leading large-scale managed security services engagements and operating models (including SLA/OLA management, governance, and vendor/MSSP coordination).
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding business requirements for cybersecurity and cyber risk management.
  • 3+ years operating within an ITIL-aligned service delivery model across Incident, Change, and Problem Management disciplines; ITIL Foundation certification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing SLA/OLA frameworks in a managed services or outsourced delivery context, including defining metrics, producing recurring client reports, and driving performance reviews via ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy
  • Working knowledge of relevant security and privacy control frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001) as they apply to privileged access governance and audit readiness
Preferred:
  • Experience with broader cyber areas with expertise in any one areas (Data Protection, network security, Vulnerability Management, Application Security)
  • Agile delivery methodologies (Lean, SCRUM etc.)
  • Vulnerability Management and Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM)
  • One or more certifications on ITIL, PRINCE2, ISO27001, CISSP, CISM, PMP, or security platform certifications
  • Experience operating as a cyber generalist across multiple domains, with demonstrated managed services delivery leadership, executive stakeholder management, and contribution to proposals/pursuits
  • Candidate should have one or more relevant industry certifications (e.g., PSM, ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or security platform certifications).
  • BS / MS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology or relevant fields.
