AWS Emerging Talent Program - Customer Solutions Manager

The Emerging Talent (ET) program within AWS Industries and Strategic Accounts develops the next generation of AWS Customer Solutions Managers (CSM). We prepare talented individuals to work with AWS's most influential and strategic customers, helping them transform their businesses on the AWS Cloud.

Program Overview:

Our program offers a 12-month mentorship where you will:

- Learn how to drive technical solutions on the AWS Cloud in collaboration with the AWS Solution Architect team

- Understand how to engage with customers and deliver value from the AWS engagement and build the trust of our customers

- Develop skills to lead customer engagements and drive technical and business strategy discussions

- Work alongside experienced professionals who will guide your development

Location Details:

The program operates in Seattle, WA for the first 12 months. After completing the program, we will assign you to a customer account that may require relocation (within the United States) to a city with an Amazon office near your customer.

Start Date Details:

This is a cohort-based program where everyone is required to start on the same day. Start dates are tentatively set for January 4th, 2027.

As part of the ET program, you will:

- Engage directly with real customers on actual business challenges

- Participate in hands-on customer engagements from day one partnering with the Solution Architecture team

- Apply your AI native knowledge and learnings to drive AI strategy for customers

- Apply AWS services and architectural best practices in real-world scenarios

- Develop technical and business acumen through direct customer interaction

- Work with mentors to build and implement solutions for actual business needs

- Prepare for a role advising AWS's most strategic and influential customers through practical experience

About the team

Customers within AWS Industries and Strategic Accounts represent some of the largest, most influential customers in their respective industries. Upon completion of the ET program, you'll progress to become a field Customer Solutions Manager. There, you'll collaborate with other members of the sales account teams to help drive AWS customers' service adoption, act as a thought leader by conveying best practices in both 1-to-1 and 1-to-many customer events and convey customer feedback internally to help shape the direction of the AWS Cloud.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

- Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)

- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field

- Technical depth in one or more areas: cloud migrations, application modernization, data & analytics, infrastructure optimization, security & compliance, or AI/ML/Gen AI/Agentic

- Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into executive-level narratives

- Familiarity with Generative AI / Agentic AI concepts with the ability to facilitate strategic conversations on GenAI use cases, adoption frameworks, and business impact

- Experience managing a portfolio of complex, high-value workloads across industry verticals

- Must be 18 or older

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company

- Track record of building trusted advisor relationships with external customers, resulting in measurable business outcomes (revenue growth, workload expansion, executive sponsorship)

- AWS Associate-level certification(s) or above.
