Full Job Description
The Customer Sales Lead: C-Store West Region is responsible for leading the development and implementation of business plans across West Region C-Store Retailers & Wholesalers. The CSL will be focused on total volume and share growth of the Campbell portfolio, specific to Snacks brands: Crackers, Cookies, Salty, & Bakery. Responsibilities include proactively managing, monitoring, evaluating and updating the overall business plan to meet and/or exceed all volume, trade and share objectives, as well as identifying opportunities for distribution growth. The CSL will also be responsible for implementing C-Store and brand strategies and tactics with customers by working closely with key external decision makers, broker partners, and internal partners. This role is fully remote. Must reside on the West Coast. What you will do... 3 Deliver annual operating plan for sales, profit and trade management for assigned West Regional Retail & Wholesaler accounts 3 Proactively monitor and update the customers overall business plan, including managing trade budgets, spending and volume to achieve all sales objectives versus plan via e4 tool. 3 Initiate ideas with input from the Broker partner and leverage Sales Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing and the brand teams to commercialize C-store solutions for all delivery options 3 Manage, communicate and monitor performance of 3rd party broker for C-Store 3 Identify, connect and develop new customer relationships to drive volume 3 Conduct post event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption and spending results versus plan then leverage findings to maximize future opportunities. 3 Conduct category business strategy sessions to discuss the state of the business, consumer trends, key business drivers, incremental opportunities, etc. Leverage team-dedicated Insight and Category Management resources appropriately. 3 Understand Campbell's brand strategies and tactics to successfully implement them, working closely with customer's key decision makers and leveraging customer specific data to drive solutions. 3 Lead the customer in the execution of category assessments to gain space. 3 Develop accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply chain efficiency by tracking shipments, consumption data and inventory changes. Proactively call out potential risks or threats to monthly forecasts. 3 Sell-in new items to customers and work with key customer personnel to achieve optimal distribution. 3 Attend key customer trade shows to present Campbell's products for distribution partnering with the broker. 3 The ability to organize and synthesize data and communicate succinct, actionable insights is critical 3 Develop productive working relationships with key decision makers within the customer's organizational structure. 3 Role will manage all Campbell's Snacks Categories and brands and partner with DSD team for stores that have IDP coverage 3 Trade fund management requires strong understanding of and experience with P&L management Who you will work with... Requires varying degrees of cross-functional interaction within the customer team (e.g., Finance, Category Management, Customer Marketing, etc.) as well as with World Headquarter personnel (e.g., Customer Strategy, Brand Strategy, Finance, etc.) What you bring to the table... (Must have) 3 Minimum education required: Bachelor education required 3 Years of relevant experience: 6+ years sales experience (2 years with C-Store preferred) 3 Experience with e4 or comparable trade demand planning system 3 Experience with Syndicated Data (IRI or AC Nielsen, retailer loyalty card, retailer POS) beneficial 3 Computer Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, experience with internal computer systems for data gathering and interpretation.) (Nice to have) 3 Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with a high level of drive and energy and the ability to consistently deliver results 3 Independent, but also work well in a team setting, with strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills 3 Strong organization, analytic and verbal & written communication skills a must 3 Effective communicator and able to create and deliver persuasive professional presentations 3 Ability to balance and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders 3 Quick learner, self-directed, and detail oriented 3 Must be flexible, agile, & adaptable and have an entrepreneurial mindset 3 Able to plan, schedule, prioritize projects and meet deadlines 3 Knowledge of Supply Chain operations preferred 3 Financial acumen and trade management preferred 3 Category & Brand Knowledge beneficial 3 Ability to travel as needed (20%) Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $117,600-$161,700 Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
