Responsibilities

As a Customer Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing small to large customer project orders from initiation through closeout. This role serves as the primary point of contact after order receipt and ensures successful execution by coordinating customers, distributors, sales teams, manufacturing facilities, engineering resources, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Locations: Lenexa, Kansas, or a U.S.Hub office or C.O.E. location.

Hybrid schedule of 2 days in office, 3 days remote
  • Own and manage customer projects from order preparation through manufacturing release, shipment, delivery, post-shipment support, and financial reconciliation.
  • Confirm customer requirements including drawings, specifications, job site requirements, bill of materials, and scope alignment while identifying and clarifying exceptions.
  • Partner with Field Sales and project stakeholders to review and validate purchase orders, technical requirements, commercial requirements, schedules, and project deliverables.
  • Serve as the lead customer contact throughout the lifecycle of the project, providing project updates, managing expectations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Review customer, distributor, and internal requests regarding order status, schedule changes, shipment updates, and project execution milestones.
  • Monitor project performance through kickoff meetings, schedule tracking, progress reviews, issue resolution, and ongoing stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple business units, manufacturing facilities, engineering teams, vendors, and support organizations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Validate and communicate project schedules while proactively identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead issue resolution efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain project commitments and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize project reporting tools, internal systems, and business processes to monitor project health, identify required actions, and drive execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • Lead project closeout activities including financial reconciliation, verification of equipment delivery, installation support, startup coordination, training support, and completion of project documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Compare, differentiate, and propose alternative products or solutions that deliver additional customer value.
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining high levels of project execution and customer service.
  • Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to resolve complex issues and make decisions in ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.

  • Experience working with distributors, contractors, vendors, or customer-facing project environments is highly desirable.
  • CAPM, PMP, or similar project management certification is a plus.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
