YOU ARE: A Custom Application Development Lead with strong experience leading the design, development and delivery of modern enterprise applications and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions. You bring deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, service-based and microservices architectures, AWS and integration development, with a proven ability to deliver scalable solutions in complex, regulated environments. As a technical leader, you guide architecture decisions, mentor distributed development teams and drive successful delivery across multiple workstreams. You combine technical excellence with stakeholder influence, continuous improvement and a strong focus on secure, resilient and maintainable software development.

THE WORK: As a member of Accenture’s Software Development and Application Delivery practice, you will design, build and deliver innovative software solutions for one of Canada’s leading financial institutions. You will lead teams responsible for developing, integrating and modernizing custom applications and ECM assets using modern frameworks, AWS services and agile delivery practices. Working closely with architects, product owners and client stakeholders, you will drive technical decisions, oversee implementation and strengthen system performance, scalability, security and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development and implementation of custom software components and service-based architectures supporting ECM assets and document processing solutions.

  • Drive solution architecture and technical design decisions across distributed systems, microservices, batch workloads and event-driven applications.

  • Design and develop integrations using Java/Spring Boot, REST/Open APIs and Kafka to connect ECM assets with upstream and downstream banking systems.

  • Lead batch-oriented integrations supporting ECM and CMOD loads, including high-volume document ingestion and transaction processing.

  • Design AWS-based document workflows and integrations using AWS Lambda, AWS Batch and Amazon S3.

  • Provide technical leadership for ECM modernization and cloud migration initiatives, including FileNet and CMOD workloads moving to AWS-based architectures.

  • Guide teams in implementing CI/CD, deployment automation, container platforms, Infrastructure as Code and job orchestration using GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and BMC Control-M.

  • Establish and promote development standards, code quality, automated testing, security, observability and operational reliability practices.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to development teams and strengthen development capability through knowledge sharing and reusable assets.

  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, security teams and business stakeholders to align solutions with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze complex technical and business challenges and develop scalable, maintainable and resilient solutions.

  • Take accountability for delivery outcomes and contribute to critical technical and business decisions across multiple teams.

  • English is required for this position as this role will be aligned to multi-national teams where English is the common language across our North America Market. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking multi-national teams, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Backend & Integration Development

  • Java / Spring Boot (Advanced), including service-based architecture supporting ECM assets

  • REST / Open APIs and integration with upstream and downstream banking systems

  • Kafka for event-driven document and transaction processing

  • Batch-oriented integrations supporting ECM and CMOD loads

  • Strong understanding of microservices, enterprise integration patterns and resilient application design

AWS

  • AWS Lambda for serverless document workflows and integrations

  • AWS Batch for large-scale asynchronous document and batch processing

  • Amazon S3 for document storage, intermediate files and ingestion pipelines

  • Ability to design and operate ECM workloads on AWS with Java services and CMOD batch processes

  • Hands-on exposure to AWS-based ECM migrations, including CMOD and FileNet to cloud

DevOps, CI/CD & Development Practices

  • CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness to ArgoCD deployment automation

  • Docker and Kubernetes for ECM services

  • Terraform for cloud and environment provisioning

  • BMC Control-M for ECM batch scheduling and job orchestration

  • Automated testing, release automation, security, observability and operational reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eligibility for Reliability Clearance.

  • Experience delivering solutions within banking or financial services.

  • Experience with ECM platforms including IBM FileNet, IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD), OpenText, Box or similar content management solutions.

  • Experience delivering document processing, workflow automation, digital correspondence or content migration solutions.

  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures, application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

  • Familiarity with document retention, records management, security, compliance and regulatory requirements in enterprise environments.

  • Strong leadership, team management, mentoring and coaching capabilities.

  • Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and manage competing priorities.
