Reports to: Supervisor, CT
Wage Range: $39.79 to $59.69 per hour
Shifts: Rotating and dedicated 8 hour shifts across weekdays and evenings; Extended shifts across nights, weekends and stat holidays. Rotating on-call shifts for afterhours support (Casual Shifts: Must be available for all shifts. Day, Evening, and Night shifts including on Weekends and Stat Holidays)

This is a Talent Pool posting for all current CT Technologist vacancies, all external applicants will be reviewed monthly to interview for all full time, part time, temporary, and casual opportunities that arise in the next 12-months. We welcome all students with a set-exam date to also apply.

Duties
  • Work as part of the dynamic team to perform CT procedures in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures
  • Provide exceptional care to patients, families and caregivers while adhering to Medical Imaging department and UHN policies and best practices
  • Effectively communicate with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting
  • Participate in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring, as required
  • Coordinate daily work schedule, prioritizes emergency/add-on cases, as required


Qualifications
  • CMRITO registration
  • CAMRT certification with current membership, preferred
  • Previous advanced CT experience or willing to be trained up to advanced level, preferred
  • Completion of or current enrollment in CTIC offered by CAMRT, preferred
  • Completion of certified injection course, preferred
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification
  • Related technologist experience in a hospital environment, an asset
  • Effective time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making including an ability to respond to changing and emergent situations
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
